Dreamwork

Welcome Seekers & Dreamers!

Dreams have been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember. When I was eight, I told my grandmother I wanted to be a “Dream Doctor.” That early sense of calling and curiosity has turned into lifelong study and practice.

My desire to practice dreamwork with others grows from deep personal experience. Dreams have offered me healing, insight, and enchantment I’ve found nowhere else. They’ve been my teachers, disruptors, and guides. I’ve learned to honor their irreverence and marvel at their creative intelligence. I believe that our world needs engaged and activated dreamers now more than ever — as a pathway of individual and collective healing and as a way toward imagining a just and healthy future for ourselves and our planet.

Today, as a Natural Dreamwork practitioner, I help others connect with the healing, clarity, and emotional guidance available through their dreams.

About NaTURAL DREAMWORK

Natural Dreamwork is not about interpreting symbols or figuring out what a dream “means.” Instead, it’s a process of slowing down, stepping into the dream landscape, and feeling what’s there. When we take dreams seriously—and bring our attention to the feelings, encounters, and images they offer—they can become a potent source of insight, healing and change.

What to Expect in a Dreamwork session

Doing dreamwork with others is a sacred honor. In each session I will be your companion and guide as we explore the many facets of your dreams, slowing down with contemplative intention to enliven the dream field and allow for an embodied and felt experience.

Sessions are typically 60–90 minutes. I’ll ask you to send your dreams in written form a couple of days in advance.

We usually meet every 2–4 weeks, with two weeks being ideal for momentum. I am also happy to meet for one-time sessions. Ultimately, the cadence of our meetings is up to you.

We will meet over Zoom or phone. If you are local to Somerville, Massachusetts, we may choose to meet in person.

To begin a conversation about stepping into dreamwork with me, please reach out via email. I will respond quickly.

Drawing of a blue flame on a dark background by Jennifer Badot

The Journey of the Blue Flame

Several years ago, I had a series of dreams in which a blue flame appeared. In the first dream, the blue flame combusted into a destructive conflagration that engulfed me. In another, the flame emitted slyly from an electrical outlet only to disappear when I went toward it. In yet another, I wholly extinguished it because I was afraid. Working these dreams, I came to understand that this blue flame was my own internal blue fire asking for attention, sometimes gently, sometimes violently.

During this time I was inspired to make this drawing of the blue flame. Bringing it to life by depicting it, giving it dimension and expression, was a way to bring the message of the blue flame into my waking life. As I drew it, I recall that I felt guided and in close communion with those dreams. We were working in concert: the dreams and my hands. The drawing, then, is both a vivid artifact of this series of dreams as well as a testimony to my own creativity.  When I embody the images of my dreams in visual art, poetry, or song, it’s a way to amplify them and extend their reach beyond my psyche into the world.  The more I engage with my dreams, the more they reveal to me, the more they can heal me and potentially others as well. Each time I look at this drawing -- all those vibrant blues and the strong arcs of the flames – I am reminded of this journey I’m on, this journey we’re all on, this Journey of the Blue Flame.
